
The Instructor
Amy’s desire and passion for the art of performance has opened many doors over the years. A member of the LDA Professional Team since April 2005, Amy brings her experience and flavour to the dance floor. In addition to all of the styles taught at LDA (Samba, Zouk, Zumba, Samba de Gafieira, Salsa, Cha Cha, Bachata), her dance repertoire, training and teaching experience in the past 10 years includes:
Traditional Ukrainian Folk Dance (Folk Ballet), Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Podium and Character Podium work, Ballroom (Swing, Waltz, Polka), Belly Dance (Egyptian), some Polynesian, Break Dance, Jazz, and Cheerleading Captain.

In addition to her experience on the Latin Dance stage, Amy’s performance experience and training also includes: Opera (formal training), Chamber Music (formal study), Jazz (vocal), Gospel, Musical Theatre, Rock Opera, Acting.
Majoring in music she was awarded numerous talent scholarships including LCC’s Triple Threat Award for 2002.
In the last 4 years Amy has been invited around the country and overseas to showcase her talents and vibrant and fun instructing style. Amy has participated in such events as:

Amy has earned numerous professional awards from LDA, the largest Latin Dance School in Australia, one award of which is “Best Performer” 4 years in a row! Other titles to her name include:

Fitness
Amy is passionate about sharing dance fitness and is one of the top Zumba instructors in Australia. She has been a presenter at the Filex Fitness Industry Convention and Australian Fitness Expo and in keeping with her passion for fitness she was recently featured in Fernwood’s “Get Foxy” TV campaign:

The Person
