Bachata Festival is here! All our international and interstate guests start arriving in Sydney this week! ATACA & LA ALEMANA are already here! So get ready for an amazing week of Bachata and Latin dance celebrations! EVENT SCHEDULE THURSDAY, 26th of APRIL OFFICIAL PRE-PARTY Best place to start the celebrations. Join us for dinner with all the Internationals (Domenic Marte, Ataca, La Alemana, Troy, Jorjet, Fabrice, Joanna and Serena). Dinner starts at 7pm. Enjoy a Bachata class by Corrie and Izzy (at 8:30pm and party afterwards). Party starts at 9pm with shows, plus guest appearance by D. MARTE. Note: It is recommended to collect your wristband for the weekend at the Pre-Party to avoid long delays on Friday morning. FRIDAY, 27th of APRIL - DAY ONE Registrations open at 9:30am Workshops 10am to 5pm Performances and party (doors open at 7:30pm, shows start at 8pm sharp) SATURDAY, 28th of APRIL - DAY TWO Registrations open at 9:30am Workshops 10am to 5pm Performances and Party (doors open at 8pm, shows start at 8:30pm sharp) SUNDAY, 29th of APRIL - DAY THREE Registrations open at 9:30am Workshops 10am to 5pm Performances and Party (doors open at 7:30pm, shows start at 8pm sharp) D. MARTE's concert 9:30pm Shhh.... After party (1am onwards) at Empire Hotel, Kings Kross MONDAY, 30th of APRIL Official After party at PUMPHOUSE. Shows and lots of dancing Enjoy the festivities! LDA MAKES THOUSANDS TO DANCE @ Darling Harbour Fiesta

 

The long October weekend was a weekend that saw LDA and it's teams rock the Darling Harbour Fiesta as they performed for thousands of people and taught hundreds to dance the way only LDA knows how, full of FUN, FUN and more FUN...

Our teams performed in 4 segments on Saturday and were part of the main event shows for the weekend on Saturday night with the SAMBA GIRLS leading the parade around Darling Harbour and finishing off at Tumbalong Park where LDA exploded on stage for thousands of screaming people as we closed of the days performance with and LDA showcase of professionals and students that wowed the audience for a staggering 40mins of non-stop entertainment LDA STYLE!!!

A special mention goes to outstanding competing teams who on Monday took out 1st, 2nd and third places capping of an incredible weekend for all of LDA...

Katrina Quintal placed 3rd in the Solo Category with her sexy Bachata Shines routine, Samba SWAT placed 2nd in the Teams Category with their sexy samba routine and MVP Bachatango extended their trophy cabinet for a second first place this year as they took out the teams division and were crowned 2011 FIESTA FACEBOOK COMPETITION CHAMPIONS...

All in all an outstanding weekend jam packed full of performances, social dancing and just pure fun, fun, fun... Till the next year :)
